from a drawing to reality..............

 There's been so much progress this week that it is just amazing how everything just falls into place.
 In a week garage roof tiles have been placed on roof frame, moulding on front have started to go on and you can actually see the drawings to come reality.

On the inside of the house all the architraves has started to be fixed, wardrobes fitting installed,moulding on colums starting to take place, doors are on and its all starting to look good.

our s/s rang on friday to give us a update and told us all that is happeng in the coming week and said pre painting will start this week.

It is a real credit towards our s/s for all the work he has done and his attention to detail is outstanding.

The kitchen has arrived.............

Well with much anticapation the kicthen has arrived. It was the most exciting time so far of the whole build.

After so many sleepness nights hoping that our colour selection was right, its been a long six months since our colour selection and seeing it in real made us think we have made the right choices.

we were allowed in as now we are locked out of the house it was just by chance we had the day off and went for a drive to see what was happening at the house, so we took the opportunity to take some pics.................

It is really starting to look like a house now...............

This week so much has progressed into the build. Our s/s needs to be commened for all his efforts.

We seen plaster nearly complete, scaffolding has now come down, eaves painted, windows on upper floor stained, and rendering has begun on upper floor. as you can see the colour has turned out the way we choose  (and many sleepless nights) after so many months after our colour selection you seem to doubt urself in your choices.

Stairs were installed today and look great now cant wait for them to be stained also.

Kitchen to be installed tomorrow so that is something to look forward too and hopefully our choices will become a reality! (lets hope)

great progress......................

Well its been a busy week at the house.

Our inspectors report came back on monday and we gave it over to our s/s, which he got the few things that needed doing done on the inside of the house, the outside stuff can wait to be fixed. Which is a credit to him.

This week saw all the roughing in of the heating/cooling,all walls have have been straightened for plaster, insulation has been installed in all the outer walls which have made such a difference,electrical all done just waiting on a couple of noggings that are missing, hebal complete and rendering has begun.looks awesome they have done a great job, but as yet not at lock up,  which i dont think that will be far away because they (pd) will be waiting upon their payment.

Plaster is meant to start tommorow so will just wait and see but hey i must say our s/s has been just great even with all updates on whats happening with the build, hav'nt heard from anyone at the office in quite a few weeks, (b/c) was on holidays for a couple of weeks but least our s/s has keeped us up to date, we are quite happy with that.

We are moving forward again..............

Well i have not put up a post for 2 weeks as things were going slow, but all that changed last week when we saw alot happen and it feels so good and promising.

Our s/s was true to his word and said things will start moving now and everything that was organised for last week all happened.

The hebel got moving along as is nearly finished on the outside, all the electrical was roughed in, and the french doors were installed, so its nearly at lockup.

slow progress.................

Well not alot has happened in 2 weeks, the week before last saw the hebel starting to go up which we got real exicited about.

In the last week week nothing has happened!

We had not heard  from our new b/c so i politely called on wednesday to ask what was happening with our variations,was told she was busy and would call me back, but got to the point of being sick of waiting for a reply, so i asked to speak to a manager, which he did call me back and got things rolling
.
What a shame it took that to get somewhere......

We organized a building inspection with Newhome inspections because there we a few things we were not happy with and thought it would be better to get our own inspector which would give us a piece of mind. He found a few things that needed attending too. So it was worth every dollar.

We had a meeting with our s/s on friday and the poor guy must of thought whats going on!
but after the wednesday session with the office it was just in total fustration that there was no communication between b/c and us.So we let out all our fustrations on our s/s!
But reassured us that he will look after everything.

Anyway our s/s has told us that in the next two weeks we should be at pre plaster and the house will be at lock-up and everything that goes with it.......

its been a slow week.............

Well not alot happened this week as you can see in pics, was hoping for more to happen as the wheather has been good.

Spoke to our s/s on monday and he confirmed that we did not need the sarking under roof tiles as was told the pitch of roof did not need sarking.

Also spoke to our b/cord as we have a issue with our laundry cupboards not matching up with what we asked for at our pre drawings, and now we can't have what we originally wanted so was told she would get back to us by friday past but have not heard anything so will have to chase that one up on monday........ or maybe i should wait for the weekly update phone call that dosn't really come!

This week the plumbing got done on monday and the land around the house all cleaned and crushed rock being laid due to the amount of mud.

Bricks delievered to start hebel but no hebal delivered so hopefully we will see some progress this week as the other houses being built by porter davis in our area are progressing alot faster than ours!

Lets hope with the fine wheather that is forecast for this week there will be alot more progress for us to report on next week..................till then.
